About Tomari

A more dependable base for family travel in Japan.

Tomari is an independent guide for parents who need more than a list of popular hotels. We look at the stay, the practical details around it and the family days that become possible from that base.

Why Tomari exists

Travelling in Japan with a baby or young child can turn a small unknown into a difficult day. Room layout, sleeping arrangements, bathing, meals, laundry, language support and the journey back to the hotel all matter.

Tomari brings those decisions together. Our aim is to help families choose a stay with fewer surprises and build realistic days around it.

Independent ownership

Tomari is owned and edited by Ryutaro Mihara in Yokohama, Japan. Hotel inclusion is decided for its usefulness to families, not because a property pays to appear.

How the guide is made

Our coverage includes hotels personally stayed at by the site owner, as well as properties researched through official hotel information and direct enquiries. Personal experience is identified as such; research is never presented as a personal stay.
